Candles with a soul, one by one
Vibee Candles was born in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. It wasn't a business plan: it was a way to calm the mind. I learned to melt beeswax, cut colored sheets, and roll candles by hand, one by one, almost like a meditation.
I'm from Moldova and have been living in Barcelona for ten years. I speak seven languages and travel constantly for work — so Vibee is not a production line: it's something I do between trips, when I can stop, when an old customer writes to me again, when I need to get back to working with my hands.
The first few years were a small boom — I was one of the few people making colored candles like this in Spain. Today there are many more people doing similar things, and that's good: it means that this makes sense to many people. What hasn't changed is how I make them — calmly, in small batches, without rushing, with the same curiosity as on the first day.
Every candle, kit, or sheet that leaves here carries a bit of that journey: from Moldova to Barcelona, from a quarantine idea to a small brand that I continue to build because I still believe in it.
